Business Development Manager - North Africa

General Summary

Reporting to the Region Manager: Middle East and North Africa (MENA) the Business Development Managers primary objective is to drive sales and business growth in North Africa. The position is based in North Africa, most likely Algiers, and will require extensive travel within the region and occasional travel to Europe and North America for training and conferences.

Responsibilities

Identify and exploit opportunities with existing and potential customers to generate sales in the region. Provide after sales technical support including customer product training as required. Monitor order progression from ‘quote to cash’, to ensure excellent customer service and efficient receivables. Work with extended organization to participate in regional marketing events such as trade shows. Maintain a high level or product knowledge. Monitor and report on market intelligence.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Graduate in Engineering, Sciences, Petroleum or related discipline.

Languages: Fluent in English, Arabic and French.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in oilfield operations – ideally in one or more of the following areas; e-line logging, well testing, permanent monitoring systems, ESP, completions. Sales and Marketing experience, particularly if in a supervisory role, is preferential.

Skills

Excellent communications and presentations skills are a critical requirement of this position.

The candidate should have a basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics, and be competent in the use of standard business software (MS Office).
