HEAT
Product Overview
The SS2110 Hostile Environment Acquisition Tool (HEAT) is a memory based instrument designed to acquire temperature and pressure data in the most challenging well environments. The HEAT records up to 666,666 data points of pressure and temperature. It is capable of operating in well temperatures to 600ºF, and pressures to 20,000 psi. The HEAT has demonstrated superior operational performance in wells with temperatures greater than 570ºF. The instrument utilizes a vacuum flask to insulate the internal electronics, pressure transducer and batteries from the high temperatures in the well-bore. A special tool housing made of Inconel-718 is employed to provide resistance to any corrosive chemicals present in the well.

The SparGauge software package controls the memory programming and the downloading of data from the tool. The software also facilitates the data presentation, so as to allow the user to quickly create gradient plots, pressure and temperature versus time plots, and many other reports with minimal effort. In addition, if combined with Spartek's Line Management System the pressure and temperature data can be presented in an API Log format to display pressure and temperature curve data versus well depth. .

As an easy reference, the theoretical temperatures and time durations at which the HEAT will operate are 600ºF (315ºC) for 4 hours, 500ºF(260ºC) for 6 hours, and 400ºF (204ºC) up to 8 hours. Other pertinent information is listed below:
